Grocery deals round-up: Let's Make Some Soup!

The holidays are over, and I don't know about you, but I am tired of cooking/baking for a while. I'm ready to get out my slow-cooker and make some easy soup, roasts, and casseroles! Frugal tip: make a double or triple batch and freeze the extra for lunches or future dinners. There are some great deals on ingredients this week that will make it worth your while. Frugal tip 2: Don't forget to use up the leftovers in your fridge.

  1. Mmmmm.... soup! I need to make a huge pot of soup sometime soon. I have a large ham bone from Xmas dinner but I've never made soup using a ham bone before. I feel slightly intimidated, to be honest. Have you done that before?

  2. I have not made soup with a ham bone before either! However, I've got two hams in my freezer that aspire to one day become hambone soup. I did a little research, and it looks like its pretty easy. This is the recipe I will probably try: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/ham-bone-soup/
